NEWS UPDATES:

Big Ride, No Score

Rider Cody Johansen, of Grover, Colo., hangs on as bull Jack the Knife comes out of the chutes with a vengeance during the Professional Bull Riders’ Rocky Mountain Bull Bash event in Hailey Saturday night. Johansen looked strong early on but did not last a full eight seconds, ending his ride with no score. Thirty-nine entrants competed to earn PBR points to qualify for bull-riding finals and the chance to earn a really large paycheck. “We were real happy with the crowd. It was a great event and the turnout with 1,800 spectators in the rodeo grounds was excellent,” said Michael Cousin, Rocky Mountain Bull Bash production assistant.
