BCRD offers fall youth soccer program

Starting in September

Boys and girls of all abilities are welcome to participate in the Blaine County Recreation District's fall youth soccer program for ages 3-5 and all the way up to the sixth grade.

The Hailey-based program includes three age levels. They are Tyke Soccer Development for ages 3-5, Kindergarten Soccer and Youth Soccer for kids in grades 1-6. Online (bcrd.org) and in-person registrations are currently being accepted.

BCRD Sports and League coordinator Brad Musbach reminded parents that if they're interested in having their child play in Ketchum this fall, they should contact Atkinson Park Recreation at 726-7820.

- Tyke Soccer Development season runs from Sept. 12-Oct. 17 on Wednesdays from 4-4:45 p.m. at Hailey's Nelson Field. It is a clinic-style program (no teams or coaches) with parents participating along with kids.

Cost is $50 online, $55 at the BCRD office or $60 if paid after Wednesday, Sept. 12.

- Kindergarten Soccer meets Mondays and Wednesdays from Sept. 10-Oct. 17, from 5:15-6:15 p.m. at Nelson Field. Again, it is a clinic-style program.

Cost is $60 online, $65 at the BCRD office or $75 if paid after Monday, Sept. 10.

- Youth Soccer for grades 1-6 features coaches and a fall game schedule. Practices at Hailey fields and games are on six Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nelson Field between Sept. 15 and Oct. 27.

Each team practices twice a week for one hour each day—either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday. Practice locations include Hailey fields in Deerfield, Foxmoor, Keefer, Woodside and Nelson.

Cost is $60 online, $65 at the BCRD office or $75 if paid after Saturday, Sept. 8.

A Mandatory Player's Clinic is Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Nelson Field.

Coaches and sponsors are still needed. Contact Brad Musbach at 578-5458 or email him at bmusbach@bcrd.org.
