NEWS UPDATES:

Hawaiian Nationals Sprouts Cool Dudes, Dudettes

As Sun Valley’s 74th ski season winds down, fewer people on Baldy means there is plenty of room for the spring bloom called the annual Hawaiian Nationals telemark and snowboard race. The costumes for Saturday’s celebration were spring-like and sassy, for instance, Rick Lethbridge’s “Free Heel Kool-Aid Dude,” sliding down Cozy and Greyhawk. Organizer Danny Walton’s send-off event attracted a good turnout to wrap up the 30th annual Sun Valley Telemark Series. Baldy’s lifts shut down at the end of skiing Sunday, April 18.
