It is time to bring Idaho solider Pfc. Bergdahl home.
Why is that we spend more time using our media sources to get attention than to actually update? I, as an Idahoan, am so disgusted with the way that this has been shown. Instead of just getting occasional snippets, wait, make that two snippets, of news about Bergdahl's status, I believe that he should be with us in all our thoughts, news and hearts.
Pfc. Bergdahl is a hero. Right now, somewhere in the Middle East, he's a captive U.S. (Idahoan) solider. It's not OK. We need to show Pfc. Bergdahl that we still care. That we are still waiting for better results. We need to show his family that we love and support him. That we thank him for defending this country and everything we hold dear.
We wasted more of our media showing off the Boise State Broncos or the Fab Five dancers than we have showing Pfc. Bergdahl and his family that we care. It's time to bring out our patriotism. Not for the war, not for anything like that, but to show Pfc. Bergdahl (wherever he may be) that he is loved, missed and a constant in our thoughts.
Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl: My prayers are with you and your family. I will continue to pray for you until you have returned safely home. I've never met you, but I love you nonetheless. Thank you for all that you have done. All of Idaho: Bring out your yellow. It's time to bring Bowe home.
