The Great Basin Conference seems to be Wood River High School's domain in prep tennis this spring. The Wolverines captured another league meet Thursday by an 11-1 score over Burley, in Hailey.
Coach Vicki Johnston's powerful Wood River squad (5-0 dual matches, 3-0 league) swept the singles on their home courts behind #1 Karl Wilander and Ellen Davis, #2 Jordan Niedrich and Sloan Storey, and #3 Josh Morell and Lily Richards.
The #1 girls' doubles team of Lauren Reutter and Margaret Reutter remained unbeaten on the spring with a 6-1, 6-3 triumph. Also staying undefeated was the #1 mixed duo of Morgan Pike and Jessica Hamilton.
Wood River has dominated its five opponents—winning its matches by a combined 55-5 score, owning an 112-16 advantage in sets won, and a 746-291 edge in games won.
The Wolverines visited Rupert Tuesday, April 13 to battle Minico and then go to the Eastern Idaho Invitational in Idaho Falls on Friday,
