It’s time to choose the valley’s best

Vote for your local favorites of 2010

By EXPRESS STAFF

Last year’s Best of the Valley results were published in a special edition of the Sun Valley Guide.

The 2010 Best of the Valley survey is now open. Go to www. svguide.com/bestof2010 to cast your votes for the best the Wood River Valley has to offer.

Six sections, covering over 120 categories, are included in the survey. Voters will pick the best of Blaine County in dining, recreation, shopping, business, entertainment and people.

This year, based on reader feedback, a few new categories have been added. They include: Best Restaurant, Best Retailer, Best New Business, Best Company to Work For, Best Place To Watch a Game, Best Happy Hour, Best Local Character, Best Landscape Company, Best Local Artist, Best Place To Walk Your Dog, Best Park/Public Garden, Best Place for Ice Cream, Best Wine Bar, Best Coffee Roaster, Best Arts Organization, Best Locally Made Product, Best Volunteer, Best Sushi and Best Après Ski Activity.

This is the second year the Sun Valley Guide, sister publication to the Idaho Mountain Express, has conducted a "best of" survey for the Wood River Valley.

Last year, more than 1,100 people logged on, resulting in more than 100,000 individual votes cast. To see the results from 2009, visit www.bestofthevalley.org.

The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete. Not every category needs to be filled in for the votes to count, and the survey can be returned to and completed later (as long as it is done from the same computer).

The survey will close on Sunday, April 25, and the results will be published in a special annual edition of the Sun Valley Guide this August.

For those without Internet access, visit the Idaho Mountain Express office at 591 First Ave. in Ketchum for assistance or call 726-8060.
