Bumps And Jumps Pump Up Cyclists Local rider Dave Harrison jumps over a set of obstacles during the eighth annual Crosstoberfest cyclocross competition, held Friday and Saturday in Hailey. Harrison won Saturday’s Category 4 race, for those 45 and older. The event attracted some 120 racers, including ones from Utah, Wyoming, Montana and Canada. Cyclocross bike races usually are held in the autumn and cover a course that features pavement, tree-lined trails, grass, hills and obstacles. The 1.3-mile course at the Old Cutters Park had it all—brilliantly designed and adorned with sponsors’ tents, pub and grub, and even live music.
