England would be good sheriff

I have known Steve England for well over a decade, and I consider him my friend. I am proud to say this because I am no saint and have worked hard in my life to overcome a somewhat troubled past, and knowing that about me, most any law enforcement official would look the other way and judge me because of my past. Not Steve. I have always known Steve to treat everyone fairly and without bias. With Steve, what you see is what you get—he’s not trying to be something he is not.

When Steve deals with an incident in his professional life, you may not always like the outcome of Steve’s decision, but rest assured that he researched whatever the situation might have been to the fullest and was fair to all parties involved. And you always know where Steve stands—he is always going to give it to you straight and will charge or arrest a close friend if need be.

In Steve’s personal life, he is everywhere in our community. Sure, we’ve seen him out a lot right now, but he’s out in non-election years too, and is always giving his time to make our community better and mentoring our kids as they grow—even mine and many others.

With all the false promises that are made throughout the election season by several candidates, please join me and many others in voting for Steve England—a no-nonsense kind of guy—as our next Blaine County sheriff on Nov. 6.
