Community Hopes, Prays For Soldier’s Return

A U.S. flag flies in front of a display in honor of missing soldier Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl at Zaney’s River Street Coffee House in Hailey. The coffee shop has provided a venue for friends and family of Bergdahl to express their feelings about the Hailey-area native and his apparent capture by enemy forces in Afghanistan in early July. Lt. Col. Tim Marsano, public affairs officer for the Idaho National Guard, said this week that Bergdahl’s status as a missing soldier has not changed in recent weeks. “We are all still waiting for, hopefully, good news,” he said.
