Stanley Cup Goes On Wild Ride

Ketchum’s Jimmy “Beets” Johnson, the assistant equipment manager of the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins, pulls the cup out of Dave Stone’s 1966 Mustang convertible Sunday afternoon at Mahoney’s Bar & Grill in Bellevue, where a sizable crowd gathered for the trophy’s first stop on a grand Wood River Valley tour. Visits to Sun Valley Resort, the summit of Bald Mountain and several valley businesses were among the stops for the National Hockey League’s championship trophy. Hundreds of well-wishers queued up and had photos taken with the trophy on a sun-splashed Monday at Ketchum Town Square. . Photo by Willy Cook
