Pull up knapweed

It's time. The knapweed is in full bloom here in the north county. It has purple flowers, is 1.5 to 3 feet tall, similar to thistle. It is abundant where soil has been disturbed, i.e., alongside the road, bike path, trail sides. If it's not picked soon, we will have many, many multiples more next season. The goats are traveling north but won't get to the northern blooms until it is too late.

So, please, put on gloves, carry a trash bag and spend 30 minutes getting this noxious weed.
