Live music continues as summer winds down

This week's Back Alley Party, a charitable concert at the Wicked Spud in Hailey, features Dr. Tom's Alchemy followed by Straight Up. Benefactor of this fun concert, today, Aug. 24, from 6-9 p.m. will be Mountain Rides Transportation Authority.

The Joe Fos Trio will play at the Duchin Lounge at Sun Valley Lodge. The free concerts take place nightly today, Aug. 24, through Sunday, Aug. 28, and then again on Tuesday, Aug. 30. All shows are from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Run4Cover will appear at the Ketchum Town Square Tunes at Ketchum Town Square on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 6-8 p.m. Country music band Old Death Whisper will be down south at Mahoney's Bar and Grill in Bellevue from 6:30-9 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 26, it's Str8up at the Silver Dollar Saloon in Bellevue at 9 p.m. There's always karaoke there Saturday nights, too.

Enjoy Sunday brunch Aug. 28 with pianist Leana Leach from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sun Valley Lodge Dining Room.

Head farther north to enjoy Douglas Cameron at the Redfish Free Concert Series: Music from Stanley this Sunday, Aug. 28, from 4-7 p.m. at Redfish Lake Lodge near Stanley. This series runs Sundays through Sept. 4. Radio shows from concerts with commentary and interviews with artists will be on radio KBSU, KBSW and KISU in the fall.

Hat Trick will appear on Lefty's deck in Ketchum, Sunday, Aug. 28, from 6-9 p.m.

If it turns out to be just another manic Monday, Aug. 29, unwind at the Sun Valley Brewery in Hailey with The Phools Lounge Valley Showcase starting at 6:30 p.m.

Sun Valley Jazz Trio with John Northrop on guitar takes back the Duchin Lounge Monday, Aug. 29, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Entry is free at the Sun Valley Lodge.

Both of the valley's farmers' markets have live music during their runs, too. In Hailey, on Thursday, Aug. 26, will be John Jacobson. Travis Ward will be in Ketchum, Tuesday, Aug. 30. The markets start at 2:30 p.m.
