Learn how to train Baldy with the experts

Few male athletes know more about how to train for the popular Baldy Hill Climb than Michael Tobin, Bill Nurge and Miles Fink-Debray.

Tobin is a six-time Baldy Hill Climb winner and Fink-DeBray has now captured five consecutive men's victories. Nurge has won 12 Baldy ascent races during his career.

All three are teaming up to give a free two-hour pre-Baldy Hill Climb training clinic on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 9-11 a.m. at River Run Lodge.

Nurge said, "The clinic is for all ages and abilities and is designed to help people better understand how to use the mountain as a training resource. It will help people who have never done the climb as well as those who would like to break their personal bests."

The 33rd annual Baldy Hill Climb, a fundraiser for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24. Call Nurge at 720-1829 for registration information.
