Resort will offer summit-to-base skiing on Baldy next week
With the Pioneer Mountains in the background, sunlight bounces off Roundhouse Slope on Bald Mountain Wednesday. Sun Valley Resort conducted a demonstration ride of the new Roundhouse gondola, left, for members of the press, in advance of the resort’s Winter Expo & Gondola ’Ganza on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at River Run Plaza. Free gondola rides will begin immediately following a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. at the gondola’s lower terminal. Other events will include snowcat and snowmaking displays, a terrain park preview, prizes and raffles, culinary specialties, and free hot chocolate and hot cider. Photo by David N. Seelig
