The board of directors of Croy Canyon Ranch Foundation has chosen Ketchum resident Anita McCann as chair and south valley rancher Bud Purdy as honorary chair of the foundation's fundraising committee. The fundraising campaign is intended to raise $13 million in donations to build the Croy Canyon Ranch senior living facility, which the foundation hopes to open by 2011 or early 2012.
To be located on Croy Canyon Road west of Hailey, the project is estimated to cost $31 million, with other parts of the budget supported by the sale of the existing Blaine Manor care facility in Hailey and up-front deposits from future residents of the independent living units. The facility will include three levels of care: independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care, which will replace Blaine Manor.
Board President Jeanne Cassell said McCann, Purdy and the 11 other members of the committee were selected in an ongoing process that began in August. They were introduced to the board during a meeting on Oct. 20.
