Stimulate your ski senses with ‘Refresh’

Saturday premiere in Hailey

The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation is hosting the movie premiere of "Refresh" this Saturday, Nov. 21 in Hailey.

"Refresh" is the current release of Level 1, the newest ski film company on the block, owned by renowned cinematographer Josh Berman.

Berman brings new-age filming and story telling to the screen as his crew and team of athletes explore the joy and thrill of skiing, from big mountain to urban freeriding, always pushing the perceived limits of gravity and space.

Proceeds from the movie will be used to purchase terrain park features, including rails and boxes, for the Rotarun Ski Area. Rotarun created a terrain park last winter; it received rave reviews and constant use through the season.

The movie premiere is the brainchild of SVSEF Freestyle team members Colter Brehmer and John Chrysikopoulos. Special guest star and Sun Valley local Warren Miller makes an appearance and narrates the film.

The premiere is at the Liberty Theatre, Hailey. Two screenings of the movie are offered at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 each, available at the door or purchased in advance at Formula Sports in Ketchum , PK's Ski and Sport in Ketchum, and Sturtevants in Ketchum and Hailey.

With every screening there will be a huge schwag toss, raffle and a few extra contests for some very large items. Each moviegoer will receive one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased: three for $5 and two for $2.
