Late Goal Lifts Wood River To 2-2 Tie

Blaine County schools opened for the 2009-2010 year Monday, but athletic teams have been playing games for about two weeks. Wood River High School’s boys’ soccer team has been in full swing with two home games, including Saturday’s hard-fought 2-2 tie with Century of Pocatello on the Hailey pitch. Wood River battled back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits to equalize 2-2 with just 16 seconds left. Here, Wood River senior midfielder Bryan Donoso (No. 23) moves the ball upfield, as teammate Morgan Pike (No. 7) supports him and Century’s Jon Powell, right, tries to keep pace.
