Sun Valley Honors Lifetime Skiers

Sun Valley Co. Assistant General Manager Claude Guigon, right, hands Carol Spelius, 88, seated, and Bill Spelius, 87, standing behind her, a lifetime ski pass Sunday at the Sun Valley Lodge. The Speliuses came to Sun Valley in 1947 for their honeymoon and have returned to the valley at least once every year thereafter to ski on the slopes of Bald and Dollar mountains. Guigon has been a friend to the couple since he moved to Sun Valley 28 years ago. The couple was joined by three of their four children, five grandchildren and scores of friends. Bill and Carol, who now live in Burley, have been coming to Sun Valley long enough to recall when a night?s stay at the Skier?s Chalet was $1.50. Photo by Willy Cook
