NEWS UPDATES:

Deep Winter Snows Hard On Elk, Deer

More than 170 elk, including cows, spikes and several large bulls, feed Sunday at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game?s Bullwhacker winter feeding site west of Ketchum in the Warm Springs Creek drainage. The agency established the Bullwhacker site in 1980 to encourage elk to remain farther up Warm Springs Creek and not in residential areas of Ketchum. Fish and Game officials are warning local residents to keep their distance from the valley?s deer and elk, which are finding the going tough this winter. Photo by Willy Cook
