NEWS UPDATES:

School’s out for summer

Oh, happy days! Approximately 400 students came pouring out of Hemingway Elementary School on Friday celebrating their last day of school and the beginning of summer vacation. According to Hemingway Principal Don Haisley, about 70 fifth-grade students graduated from the school and will attend middle school next fall. Haisley also said that approximately the same number of new students will enroll in Hemingway in the fall keeping the enrollment around 400. Kids were excited Friday and listed camping, water skiing, tubing, river rafting and traveling as some of the summer activities they were ecstatic about. Photo by Willy Cook
