Ouch! A bareback rider gets tossed to the ground shortly after leaving the chute Saturday at the Days of the Old West Rodeo in Hailey. The stock, brought to Hailey by King Cattle Co., didn’t allow many complete rides, leaving many cowpokes to dream of another day. The three nights of rodeo featured large, enthusiastic crowds witnessing the last rodeo performances at the old, storied rodeo grounds, slated for razing and reconstruction this summer.
