Andy Jones-Wilkins, headmaster at The Community School in Sun Valley for the past four years, announced Tuesday that he has tendered his resignation effective at the end of the next school year.

"I've had a great run at the school here, but I'm ready for my next challenge," said Jones-Wilkins, who is also a world-class ultra-marathon runner. "I'm proud of what we've accomplished and I'm ready for the future."

Jones-Wilkins said The Community School will soon start looking for his replacement, a task he will support 100 percent.

He said he hasn't lined up a new job yet, but expects to find one in the West within the next year.

"Well be looking and hoping that next opportunity is out there," he said. "I'd like to stay at The Community School, but my family and I are ready for our next adventure."
