Baldy Bathes In Autumn Sun Bald Mountain shows off on Wednesday afternoon how it got its name, as the bare top of the ski mountain bathed in fall sun after an early-season snowstorm. The storm on Sunday and Monday dropped some 18 inches of snow on the mountain, leading many valley residents to hope for an early start to the ski season.
