Minister Wendy Collins will bestow a special blessing for animals at the Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley for its annual "Blessing of the Animals" on Sunday, Oct. 11, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. All feathered and four-legged friends are welcome. The shelter will serve refreshments for animals and people.

In addition, Girl Scout Troop 61 will collect donations of unopened bags of adult dog and cat food. The food donations are part of the "Paws for Hunger," a partnership between the animal shelter and the Hunger Coalition.
