?Gonna Take a Sentimental Journey?
A classic B-17G Flying Fortress parked at Friedman Memorial Airport is prepared Wednesday for exhibit during Friedman?s annual Airport Appreciation Day, scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Hailey airfield. Named Sentimental Journey, this World War II-vintage bomber is owned and operated by the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (formerly the Confederate Air Force). The owners will be offering 30-minute, ?chock to chock? flights for $425, including approximately 22 minutes of air time. The plane was built in 1944 and has been completely restored to its wartime version. Photo by Willy Cook
