Some 25 tennis enthusiasts attended a "Tennis Block Park" Saturday at Atkinson Park in Ketchum to help hone their playing skills. The event, sponsored by the City of Ketchum and supported by the U.S. Tennis Association, featured local tennis experts who offered free tips and instruction to participants. John Kearney Jr., Ketchum Recreation Program director and organizer of the event, said the clinic was held to help kick off the summer tennis season in the Wood River Valley. Regular tennis sessions are held Monday through Thursday at Atkinson Park, and a junior tournament is scheduled for July 6. For more information contact Kearney at 726-7820.
