A Day to Remember

While many citizens celebrated Memorial Day by camping, fishing, boating and hiking, many other residents took time to remember our war dead. Monday's Memorial Day service was held at the Ketchum Cemetery and hosted by the David Ketchum Post 115 of the American Legion. World War ll Naval veteran Helene Wiggins, left, and retired Army Lt. Col. Reginald Reeves placed the ceremonial wreath on the Legion Post's memorial headstone. Reeves also delivered a stirring reading of the poem "In Flanders Field," and the Memorial Day address was delivered by Rear Admiral Edward J. Hogan, U.S. Navy, Retired. Photo by Willy Cook
