Kerry gets taste of ‘survival’ boarding

Sen. John Kerry, the Democratic presidential hopeful, begins the two-hour hike up Durrance Peak Friday. Sun Valley Ski Patrolman Tim Cron, left, along with Secret Service agents, accompanied the Massachusetts senator for the hike and ski down. At the top, Kerry remarked that he had forgotten how "really quiet it is up here." The trip down was what Cron described as "survival skiing."
