Cutthroats named to All-Conference soccer

High Desert picks announced


     The 3A High Desert Soccer Conference of south-central Idaho’s 4th District had a meeting Tuesday night during which the All-Conference First Team players were chosen by the prep league coaches.

     Ten Community School players, five boys and five girls, were chosen to the All-Conference squads that included 18 boys and 18 girls.

     Coaches Richard Whitelaw and Kelly Feldman guided Cutthroat teams to State 3A consolation championships and High Desert tournament titles.

     Season-ending awards banquet for the Cutthroat soccer teams is Sunday, Nov. 9 from 5-7 p.m. in the gym, foyer and theater area of the Sun Valley independent school. The banquet is for all Upper School boys’ and girls’ soccer players and their parents.

     Here are the league picks:

 

All-Conference boys

    Community School: Jack Swanson, Roger Figge, Willis Sanchez-duPont, Jay Fitzgerald and Keegan Whitelaw.

     Wendell: Jorge Valera, Jose Alfredo Barajas, Durk Deelstra and Jose Villaycana.

     Gooding: Salvador Ruis Lopez, Chase Ogle and Brandon Casanas.

     Buhl: Tony Ramirez, Luis Carmona and Ociel Diaz.

     Bliss: Dominik Kus and Oscar Altamirano.

     Declo: Jose Guadarrama

 

All-Conference girls

     Community School: Ella Viesturs, Kate Rathfon, Ella Pepin, Olivia Ott and Sydney Hagenbuch.

     Bliss: Anna Orr, Chloe Schoessler and Kylee Carpenter.

     Gooding: Taylor Anthony, Cynthia Catalan and Jacquie Perkins.

     Wendell: Brenda Coronado, Taylor Beebe and Kirsten Wert.

     Filer: Ruby Gomez and Taylor Sharp.

     Buhl: Haley Gorrell.

     Declo: Mirella Torres.
