Town Series is out of the gate

GS debut on Warm Springs

Miles Fink-Debray (16.61 seconds) of Arc Park and Nate Schwing (17.51) of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation clocked the fastest single-run times of Wednesday’s first week of the 22nd annual Sun Valley Town Series.

3—Carl Rixon Jr. (SVSEF) 17.62. 4—Hunter Storey (Hos from Sturtos) 17.79. 5—Joe Atwood (Hos from Sturtos) 17.80. 6—Matt Murphy (SkiTek) 17.90. 7—Wes Powell (Apple’s) 17.93. 8—Brett Jacobson (Shot Skis) 18.15.
9—Jim Grossman (SkiTek) 18.25. 10—Erika Hogan (SVSEF) 18.29. 11—Tyler Chandler (PK’s) 18.40. 12—John Lee (Glow Pokes) 18.49. 13—Jonna Mendes (2 Fast 2 Furious) 18.55. 14—John Campbell (All 4 All) 18.64. 15—Cam Fraser (Apple’s) 18.91.
“Rabbit” in the middle of the pack was Chris Key of Ski Tek (22.52) There were 127 racers in the dual modified giant slalom race—pretty much all of the 136 racers on the 34 four-member teams this season.
Next event is Wednesday, Jan. 30 on Cozy ski run with the post-race party at Mahoney’s in Bellevue.
