Grid camps for kids and a soccer meeting

Before school ends


Blaine County public schools are in session through June 8, but there are a couple of special camps and a meeting next week dealing with young athletes getting ready for fall.

( Wood River High School girls' soccer coach Jenni Conrad has asked current eighth-grade girls interested in playing soccer for the high school in the fall to attend a meeting Monday, June 4 at 3:30 p.m. in Wood River Middle School cafeteria, Hailey.

Information will be given out Monday afternoon about summer training schedules and also for fall season details and schedules. Call Conrad at 720-0180 with questions.

( After school next week, there will be two Optimist football camps for young players conducted by Wood River High School football coach Kevin Stilling and staff members. Both camps will take place at the high school in Hailey.

Kids in grades 1-6 will gather from 3-4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 4-7. Those in grades 7-8 will meet on the same days from 4-5:30 p.m. Cost is $40. Each player receives a T-shirt. No previous football experience is needed.
