Stewart Miller Schwartz

Stew was born July 9, 1937, to Verna and Carl Schwartz. He was named Stewart Miller Schwartz and was called Buddy in his youth. Stewie died Feb. 14, 2012, at Blaine Manor in Hailey, Idaho. He is survived by his sister Pam (Bud) Hans and his longtime companion Buncy Jeffrey.

Stewie proudly described himself as a ski bum. He took a ski class in college and never looked back. His father had told him to find what you love to do in life and make it work for you. I think he succeeded. He also liked to say that growing up is a myth and he liked to live every day with the enthusiasm of his youth. His charming, easy ways and the twinkle in his eyes made him loved by all who knew him. He has left us all with so many wonderful memories and the reminder of his lessons in living life well. He will be missed, but he will always have a place in our hearts and we will always find him on our best runs of the day.

A celebration gathering will be on the Roundhouse deck at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 31. In lieu of flowers please donate to Blaine Manor; they were invaluable in these last months of his life.
