Gingrich is not the man for the job

Time grows short until the Iowa caucus, Jan. 3, holidays and all, so I have to wing it on this one.

Newt Gingrich leads Mitt Romney in the Iowa polls, but no big deal. The conservative evangelicals toward which the Iowa caucus is heavily weighted do not represent mainstream and a diversified America.

This has all been said before about Newt Gingrich, but it needs to be restated. As House speaker, Gingrich made himself one of the most disliked figures in the recent history of American politics after he shut down the government, got caught in an ethics scandal and carried on an extramarital affair while at the same time trying to impeach Bill Clinton. His arrogance is masked by a fake humility. Both Gingrich and Romney will go whichever way the wind blows.

Romney and Gingrich are hypocrites, unscrupulous and unethical, and will do anything to win. Hope this doesn't shatter too many illusions about these men.
