Cheer on the Heritage Court ladies

The 2011 Heritage Court season is winding down, but the public has two more opportunities to see the ladies dressed in their finery and riding in their horse-drawn carriage—the Wagon Days parade on Saturday and the Bellevue Labor Day parade on Sunday. In addition, the Hailey Library is sponsoring a get-together with court ladies at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8.

This year's four ladies were nominated by community groups up and down the valley. The Trailing of the Sheep named Maxine Molyneux of Picabo and the Sun Valley Summer Symphony honored Joanne Davis of Sun Valley. Theresa Richards was chosen by the Hailey Chapter AM of the P.E.O. and Betsy Pearson by the Croy Canyon Ranch Foundation.

Thanks to donations by our sponsors and contributions in kind from many businesses, the ladies have enjoyed a gala tea, the coronation ceremony at the Liberty Theatre and breakfasts and luncheons connected with the various summer parades.

So, please, come out and cheer on these ladies who have contributed so much to the history and culture of our community. You're sure to get a big smile and a gracious wave in return!
