</font> Off they go in the eighth annual New Balance Girls on the Run 5-kilometer run Saturday, May 21 from Lawrence Heagle Park in the Della View area! There were 250 racers on a nice spring morning in Hailey. Top male finishers were: 1—Alexis Gonzalez, 14, of Ketchum 18:45. 2—Ethan Judd, 16, of Burley 21:43. 3—Dick Andersen, 64, of Sun Valley 22:18. 4—Armlfo Gonzalez, 35, of Ketchum 23:36. Top female finishers were: 1—Gretchen Hurlbutt, 33, of Boise 17:48. 2—Megan Hayes, 19, of Hailey 23:08. 3—Autumn Flu-etsch, 12, of Hailey 23:17. 4—Amber Larna, 29, of Carey 23:38. In addition, the “How Girls on the Run Has Made You Fearless” essay winner was McKenzie Brown, a Woodside Elementary School fifth-grade student. She won a girls’ cruiser bike donated by Sturtevants of Hailey. Girls on the Run executive director Mary Fauth said there were 85 girls in the running program.
