Leaping For Gold It’s been an outstanding athletic year for Camas County junior Katelyn Peterson, who led the Mushers to their second straight State 1A volleyball title last fall. Last weekend, she excelled individually at the State 1A track and field championships at Bronco Stadium in Boise. Peterson swept the three jumps—triple, long and high—and wound up with 38 of a possible 40 points by placing second in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles.
