Board to consider auditorium remodel

Teacher’s contract and Dual Immersion also on agenda

The Blaine County School District board of trustees will consider approval of a remodeling project at the auditorium of the Community Campus in Hailey at its May regular board meeting on Tuesday.

The meeting is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the district office at 118 West Bullion St. in Hailey.

Also on the agenda is consideration of a Master Agreement negotiated with the Blaine County Education Association and the calendar for the 2011-2012 school year.

District Business Manger Mike Chatterton will seek permission to publish a draft budget for fiscal year 2012 and board Chairwoman Julie Dahlgren will give a report on a "listening session" held in Ketchum on April 25.

A Wood River High School daycare proposal will be presented by district Superintendent Lonnie Barber, who will also discuss "overview and sustainability of Dual Immersion," a district program that provides instruction in both English and Spanish.
