RECENT RESULTS

Hailey Hotel 20, Power Engineers 15

Hotel did most of its scoring in the middle innings, with 7 runs in the third and 6 in the fourth for a 16-3 cushion. Power came on strong with 12 runs in its final four at-bats. Hotel: Riley O'Grady 4 hits, JonMarie Shaw 3 hits and 3 runs, Nic Thomas 4 hits (2 doubles) and 4 runs. Power: Dustin Feigt 4 hits (double) and 4 runs, Brenda Elfering 3 hits and 3 runs.

Mahoney's Bar & Grill 11, Wise Guy Pizza/Nitro Green 8

Mahoney's went ahead 4-0 in the first on one-out hits by Tammi Dilworth (2 hits, 2 runs), Zack Dilworth (3 hits, 2 runs) and Meghan Faherty. The winners added 5 more runs in the fifth, stretching their 5-3 lead to 10-3—Rich Lang (2 hits) Tammi Dilworth (double) and Zack Dilworth (triple) having the big hits. Mahoney's: Brad Dredge, Jeff Ballou and Sue Weller 2 hits apiece. Wise Guy: Ryan Stavros 3 hits, Brenda Blackwell 2 hits, Kenny Nelson 3 hits (HR, double) and 3 runs, Cam Garrison 3 hits (triple), Milton Brooks 3 hits (2 doubles).

LDE Elec/Little Wood 16, Wise Guy Pizza/Nitro Green 11

Wise Guy came up a little short on a nice comeback from an 11-2 third-inning hole—but the unbeaten league leaders hung tough from a 5-run Wise Guy fifth and pushed across a pair of runs in the seventh. The 1-2-3 Little Wood hitters were on fire—Morgan Uhrig 3 hits (triple, double, HR) and 3 runs, Wendy Hosman 2 hits (double) and 3 runs and Sean Harrington 4 hits (HR, double) and 3 runs. Greg Edwards (3 hits, 2 runs) added a 2-run HR and 4 RBI. Wise Guy: Ryan Stavros 3 hits, Kenny Nelson 4 hits (2 HR) and 3 runs, Shanell Nelson 3 hits (triple), Brian Nelson 4 hits (HR, double) and 2 runs and Milton Brooks 3 hits and 2 runs.

Sawtooth Paint/Car Quest 25, Hailey Hotel 6 (6 innings)

Jeff Schroder's one-out RBI triple started Sawtooth off on a 3-run fist, then Schroeder's leadoff single in the third sparked a 5-run third that extended the painter's lead to 10-0. The winners capitalized on three Hotel errors in the fourth for another 6 runs and a 16-2 cushion. Sawtooth: M.J. Musselman 5 hits (double), 3 hits and 5 RBI, John Rathfon 3 hits (double) and 3 runs, Donnie Green 3 hits (2 doubles, HR) and 2 runs. Hotel: Nic Thomas 3 hits (double) and 2 runs, Riley O'Grady HR and Doug Story 2 doubles.

Mahoney's Bar & Grill 15, Peterson/Tidwell 14

Seeking its first win, Peterson/Tidwell played its best game to date—building 6-2 and 13-10 leads. A 3-run HR by Tracy Peterson (3 hits, double) was the big blow of Peterson/Tidwell's 5-run sixth that established the 13-10 lead. Then, run-scoring singles by Brad Dredge (3 hits, 4 runs) and Rich Lang (2 hits, 2 runs) highlighted a 4-run Mahoney's sixth for a 14-13 lead. Peterson/Tidwell had one last gasp in the visitor seventh ignited by a leadoff double by Sherri Phelps (3 hits, 3 runs) followed by singles off the bats of Patrick Peterson (3 hits, HR) and Lacey Peterson. But one run was all they got—and Nic Nottingham (3 hits) of Mahoney's ended the game with a walk-off, leadoff HR in the home seventh.

Poggi Elec/Red Dog 21, Power Engineers 6 (6 innings)

First-inning triples by Jeff Poggi (2 hits, 2 runs) and Mike Beall (4 hits, 4 runs) helped Poggi to a 5-1 lead. The winners added 4 unearned runs with two out in the second with Anthony Rooney (3 extra-base hits, 3 runs) clearing the sacks with a huge RBI triple. Poggi: Jamie Stone 3 hits and 3 runs, Dave Stone 3 hits and 4 RBI. Power: Ben Bainbridge 3 doubles.

Sawtooth Paint/McClain's 16, Wise Guy Pizza/Nitro Green 7

Jeff Burrell (3 hits, 3 runs) emptied the bases with a two-out homer in Sawtooth Paint's 5-run first, then the winners stretched their 8-4 lead to 13-4 with a 5-run third ignited by M.J. Musselman's RBI double. McClain's: Kathy Seal 3 runs, Bryan Burrell 2 hits (HR), Jeff Schroeder 4 hits and 2 runs, John Rathfon 3-run HR. Wise Guy: Ryan Stavros 2 hits, Cam Garrison triple, April Peterson 2 runs.

LDE Elec/Little Wood 22, Hailey Hotel 2 (5 innings)

Sharon Payne Bolton sparked Little Wood's 9-run second inning explosion with a leadoff single and Rick Karlovich (3 hits, 2 runs, 3 RBI) moved the rally along with a 2-run double. LDE tallied runs in each at-bat including a 7-run fifth with Karlovich blasting another RBI two-batter. Little Wood: Greg Edwards 3 runs, Morgan Uhrig 3 hits (double) and 4 runs, Sean Harrington 3 hits (HR, double), 3 runs and 6 RBI. Hotel: Riley O'Grady 2 hits (double) and 2 runs Steven Vouch 2 hits.
