Dalmatians and advice are topics brought to life for the St. Thomas Playhouse Company B Performing Arts Day Camp for children ages 5-13. The productions, "Disney's 101 Dalmatians, Kids" and "Dear Edwina, Junior" will have performances at The Community School Theatre in Sun Valley.

"Disney's 101 Dalmatians, Kids" will be staged Thursday, June 17, and Saturday, June 19, and "Dear Edwina, Junior" will take place Friday, June 18, and Sunday, June 20. All shows are matinees with 2 p.m. curtain times. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children available at the door.

"It's an important place for kids to come together and build friendships," said Kristy Kuntz, director for "Disney's 101 Dalmatians, Kids." "It's a safe place for all kids who want to be here."

Alyse Stark, director of "Dear Edwina, Junior," said the show has different types of music and dancing with lots of characters for kids.

"Edwina creates 'Advicepalooza' and puts on a show where all the letters she receives are answered with a song," Stark said. "It's a 'Dear Abbey' advice-giving show."

Kuntz said the kids who perform for Company B have an intense theater experience, learning character work, acting and choreography.

"All the kids get a chance to work with everyone," she said. "In one day, we block 15 pages of the script and the kids learn the opening number to their show."

Stark said every kid has a moment and gets to shine.
