Golfers Brave Bad Weather For Good Cause

The fourth annual Chip-In for The Advocates golf tournament at The Valley Club raised more than $20,000 Saturday to further the organization’s mission to prevent domestic violence and sexual assault. Sixty-four golfers played in the tournament. “The community came together through rain, sleet, snow and hail,” said tournament Co-Chair and Advocates Board Member Joanne Wetherell. Above, Tarzan (aka The Valley Club Assistant Professional Jonathan Strellow) huddles for warmth with event Co-Chairs Pete and Janet Cantor.
