Celebrate end of season at Apple's

Bald Mountain will close on Sunday, April 18, at 4 p.m. To celebrate the end of the 74th Sun Valley ski season, Apple's Bar and Grill in Warm Springs will host a street party with live music and street bars on Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18.

Ethan Tucker will perform on Saturday from 2:30-5:30 p.m. and Jeremiah James will perform from 3 p.m. to sunset on Sunday. In addition, the annual Scorpion Nationals will take place on Sunday at 4:20 p.m. Sign up with Hank Minor at Apple's.

Honor National Poetry Month

The Wood River High School Writers' Club will sponsor an evening of poetry readings, refreshments and musical interludes on Wednesday, April 21, with a Poetry Café at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts in Hailey at 7 p.m.

The free event is open to the public. Participants should bring poems to read.

Bellevue businesses band for party

Two Bellevue businesses have joined to throw a community party on Thursday, April 22, from 4-8 p.m. at 202 S. Main St., second floor.

The businesses are Butterfly, a design studio for invitations, greeting cards and stationery, and Kirsten Shultz Photography. They are throwing a French-themed event complete with champagne and Parisian treats. Shultz will feature a special exhibit, "Paris Street Photographs," and Butterfly will offer specials. They called on Sayvour Cuisine, a personal catering company, to provide the Parisian sweets.

The Brick House Restaurant downstairs will offer all party attendees a coupon for discounted dinner and wine after the party and will feature a French-themed entrée special.

Freemasons to hold fundraiser

The Freemasons will hold a Spring into Summer with the Freemasons fundraising event on Saturday, April 24, from 2-4 p.m. at the Hailey Masonic Lodge on 100 S. Second St. in Hailey.

The event will include a silent auction, snacks and cakewalk. Tickets are $5 for adults, $8 for couples and $3 for those under 18. Proceeds will benefit Wood River Valley students.
