A 44-year-old man accused of felony stalking has been released from the Blaine County jail after spending 222 days behind bars.

Sentence was pronounced Monday for Douglas R. Larsen in Blaine County Magistrate Court. Larsen, who pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of violation of a no-contact order, was sentenced to 365 days in jail. Judge R. Ted Israel suspended 143 days of the sentence and gave Larsen credit for 222 days spent in jail while his case was being prosecuted.

It was Larsen's fourth misdemeanor conviction for stalking an employee at Veltex Market in Ketchum or violating a no-contact order regarding the woman.

According to court records, Larsen was convicted of second-degree stalking in January, sentenced to 36 days in jail and placed on two years probation. He was also convicted twice in January of violating a no-contact order.

His latest arrest was on Feb. 19 when Ketchum police found him closer to Veltex Market than the 300 feet specified in the order.

Court records list an Idaho Falls address for Larsen, though he had been residing in Blaine County. He was previously employed as a Sun Valley postal worker and as a security guard for Sun Valley Co.
