Figure skaters test well in Wyoming

Seven Sun Valley Figure Skating Club members showed their skills at the Northwest Pacific Regional Figure Skating Championships Oct. 14-17.

Julianna Lamb, Nicole Pratt, Telar McClure, Alexandra Harten, Gracie Eagan, Lex Shapiro and Claire Siderman represented Sun Valley at Snow King in Jackson Hole, Wyo. NWP regionals offered individual freeskate events.

Eagan, 13, a Wood River Middle School eighth grader, earned a fourth-place medal in Pre-Preliminary Freeskate.

Lamb and Pratt competed at qualifying levels. In Novice Ladies Freeskate, Lamb placed 10th in the long program, 11th in the short and 12th overall. Among 26 skaters competing in two qualifying round groups at Intermediate Ladies, Pratt was 11th in Qualifying Group B.

At non-qualifying levels, McClure placed 10th in Pre-Juvenile Freeskate, Harten was 10th in Preliminary Freeskate, Eagan fourth in Pre-Preliminary Freeskate, Shapiro sixth in Pre-Preliminary Freeskate, and Siderman eighth in Pre-Preliminary-No Axel Freeskate.
