Thirsty bears are roaming

Some fences aren’t obstacles for young, loose-limbed black bears like this one that took a morning stroll through an unidentified yard on its way to a refreshing drink from a local watering hole. Before clambering over the fence, the bear also stopped for a leisurely “stretch and scratch” session with a tree. The bear was accompanied by its mother, who was more elusive and camera shy despite being twice the younger bear’s size.
