Kamela Jeanne Weber


Kamela "Kami" Weber, 33, of Hailey, passed away suddenly on Nov. 20, 2007.

Kami was born April 27, 1974, in Colville, Wash. She was the youngest child of Ron and Candyce Weber. She was raised in Boise, Idaho City and Bozeman, Mont., where she graduated from Bozeman Senior High School. She attended The Culinary Arts Institute of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, where she graduated with honors.

She began her culinary career in Bozeman at the Spanish Peaks Brew Pub. Kami then moved to Seattle where she worked at the Columbia Tower, Hiram's and The Metropolitan Grill.

Kami moved to the Wood River Valley in 2005 and was currently employed by the Sun Valley Co.

Kami was known for being an avid reader and was enthusiastic about music, cooking and fly fishing. She could often be spotted at Magic Reservoir dragging a fly behind the boat.

Survivors include her mother, Candyce Weber of Missoula; grandfather, J.D. MacDougall, of Missoula; sister, Amy Chaffin, of Seattle; brother, Gerald Weber, of Idaho City; brother, Michael, and Anne Weber (Nicholas & Callie), of Hailey; close friend Wayne Allen (Douglas & Tyler), of Hailey; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Weber; grandparents, Martha and Ray Weber, and Ethel MacDougall.

Services were held Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at the Sun Valley Inn.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wood River Land Trust or the charity of your choice.
