Still undefeated, The Community School girls' and boys' soccer teams had a lot to cheer about Tuesday when they rolled over the visiting teams from Buhl 5-0 and 9-0 on the Sagewillow Farms fields in Elkhorn.

Kelly Feldman (50-27-6), sixth-year Cutthroat girls' coach, celebrated her 50th coaching win as the high scoring Sun Valley girls improved their season mark to 6-0-0 (5-0-0 High Desert Soccer Conference).

With their 5-0 shutout the Cutthroat girls have now outscored opponents 41-1. They are currently ranked third in the Idahosports.com 3A soccer poll behind top-ranked and 2006 third-place State 3A finisher Teton of Driggs (9-0, 40-2 goals against) and American Falls (7-1).

Jessie Curran (9 goals season) had two goals to go with singles by Hannah Hennessy (a team-leading 12), Emma Wilander and Nellie Brown. It was a rematch of last year's conference tournament championship won by the Cutthroats 6-2 and Feldman said it was a real challenge.

The Cutthroat girls continued their drive for a fourth consecutive conference title and sixth straight state tournament berth Thursday against Gooding (3-2-1) and will host Bliss today at 4:30 p.m. Jerome arrives Monday, Sept. 17.

Meanwhile, coach Richard Whitelaw's newly named #1 ranked Idahosports.com Cutthroat boys' squad (6-0-0, 5-0-0) breezed 9-0 over Buhl Tuesday. The Sun Valley boys (3-0 home, 3-0 away) have outscored their foes 34-3 through Tuesday.

Sophomore striker Tanner Flanigan (9 goals, 22 career) tallied his first three-goal hat trick of the season against Buhl (1-7-0, 0-6-0). Senior Travis Stone (12 goals, 71 career) added two goals as did Eddy Albarran. Scoring singles were "Man of the Match" Mac Whittington from the defensive side and Rafael Pena.

Whitelaw's team hosted its chief league rival Gooding (4-2-0, 4-2-0) Thursday—trying to duplicate their 3-0 win at Gooding Aug. 30. Defending league king Bliss (4-1-0) comes to Sun Valley today at 6:30 p.m. fresh off its 4-0 win at Filer Tuesday.
