First, let me thank all the volunteers that help to put on Labor Day in Bellevue. It is not an easy feat in today's world of people not volunteering for community events.
However, I would like to express total disapproval of the Sunday Labor Day Celebration. Total disregard for Bellevue's only church and its services was appalling. A two-day celebration could be done with music starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday and leave the parade on Monday. Celebrate Labor Day on Labor Day, not when a few people think it is OK to switch the holiday. If you really want a crowd, put on a barbecue like Bellevue used to do.
Also, do not take out the music the country was founded with and replace it with beginning rock groups. You can have them, but don't use them in place of the Fiddlers. I think I speak for quite a few of the quiet majority here.
