Castle Rock Fire stopped cold

Firefighters pack up and head for next job

With the 48,520-acre Castle Rock Fire declared fully contained Tuesday, some of the firefighters assigned to the blaze began packing up to head home or to other wildfires that continue to burn in the region. A total of 919 firefighters remained on the fire Tuesday, down from the more than 1,700 here mid-way through the blaze. Photo by Willy Cook
