Sun Valley couple
killed in car collision
in Nevada

ELY, Nev. (AP)—A Sun Valley couple died Saturday in a head-on crash in eastern Nevada. A British Columbia man also died in the collision and his wife suffered serious injuries

The highway patrol said William Juchem, 79, and Garnet Juchem, 76, of Sun Valley were heading north on U.S. 93 when their Chevy Tahoe drifted off the road Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say William Juchem overcorrected and the vehicle went into a broadside skid.

Arnold Steiner, 70, and his wife, Amy, 67, of Nelson, B.C., were southbound and unable to avoid the collision 44 miles north of Pioche.

The patrol said the Sun Valley couple and Arnold Steiner died in the crash. Amy Steiner was taken to the University Medical Center trauma center in Las Vegas with severe injuries.
