Spinning Into a Slinky

With its acrobats, flashy pairs skating, “Blues Brothers” ensemble and always-popular headliners, the Sun Valley Ice Show choreographed by Lori Benton is enjoying one of its most entertaining seasons each Saturday on the resort’s outdoor ice rink. One of the unique weekly acts is the hula hoop number of U.S. Open champion Irina Grigorian. She keeps the hoops moving while doing subtle moves like two-toes, spins and spirals. Grigorian finishes by hula-hooping into a huge slinky. Another popular feature each week are the elegant ribbons drawn in the air by four-time Polish national champion Anna Rechnio.
